Ashley Manuel is a Clinical Dietitian based in Truro, Nova Scotia, with over 15 years of experience specializing in critical care, general surgery, gastrointestinal health, and bariatric surgery.
She is Internationally Board Certified in Nutrition Support (CNSC) and brings extensive expertise in medical nutrition therapy across a wide range of disease states. Ashley applies evidence-based approaches to support patients through complex nutritional challenges in both acute and peri-operative settings.
Currently, Ashley leads the General Surgery Peri-operative Nutrition Clinic at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, where she works closely with patients to optimize nutritional intake and status before surgery, enhancing recovery and surgical outcomes.
Ashley also has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and is a co-author of the national cookbook series IBD Kitchen, which provides practical, patient-centered nutrition guidance for individuals living with IBD.
